Description: | Slender tapered crystal of pale-purple amethyst quartz with chevron-like phantom-growth zones in the upper third. The amethyst quartz crystal has four-faced pyramidal termination and the prism faces are dominated by three faces. Collected ca. 1975. This quartz outcrop was completely excavated by open pit mining ca. 1983. |
