Description: | Lustrous transparent-to-translucent deep red-brown sphalerite crystals lining a concave shallow cavity in a crystallized mass of sphalerite. The sphalerite crystals have a conical appearance and have highly lustrous faces. An excellent historic specimen. Ex. Henry D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, (see Final Disposition Of Some American Collections Of Minerals, Frederick A. Canfield, 1923), bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School |
