Mineral:Prehnite pseudomorphs after Anhydrite with Laumontite and Chamosite
Locality:Upper New Street Quarry, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey
Description:Translucent green prehnite epimorphs after anhydrite crystals to 25 mm with white laumontite crystals to 5 mm and black chamosite micros. The anhydrite crystallized first, was overgrown with prehnite, then the anhydrite dissolved leaving hollow molds. Collected May 1995
