Locality: | Gopher Valley Quarry, 16 km southwest of McMinnville, Yamhill County, Oregon |
Description: | Large translucent butterscotch-colored rhombohedral calcite crystals to 28 mm with lustrous transparent colorless trapezohedral analcime crystals to 3 mm on the bottom where they were attached. The calcite crystals have white inclusions on two edges. The calcite fluoresces bright white under SW-LW UV illumination. Collected ca. 1995 by Jon Gladwell (Myrddin Emrys Ltd.) |
