Mineral:Quartz and Calcite with Goethite
Locality:Millington Quarry, Bernards Township, Somerset County, New Jersey
Description:Lustrous transparent gray to colorless calcite crystals to 7 mm with scattered microcrystals of fibrous brown goethite in hemispherical aggregates to 0.8 mm diameter. The calcite crystals are a combination of rhombohedral, scalenohedral, hexagonal forms. Collected ca. 1992.
