Locality:Ruby Mountain, Nathrop, Chaffee County, Colorado
Description:Lustrous dark red-black spessartine garnet crystal in a shallow cavity in gray rhyolite with quartz and hematite microcrystals. The spessartine garnet crystal is trapezohedral form with an octahedral corner face on one corner. Collected in July 1992
