Mineral: | Wulfenite and Hemimorphite with Quartz coating |
Locality: | Finch Mine, north of Hayden, Banner District, Gila County, Arizona |
Description: | Shallow cavity lined with bladed translucent orange wulfenite crystals to 5 mm coated with a thin layer of blue gray hemimorphite then an outer layer of lustrous transparent colorless quartz microcrystals. The hemimorphite fluoresces white under UV illumination. Collected in 1997 |
