| Description: | Large edge of a lustrous transparent purple cubic fluorite crystal that dissolved from the inside following internal sector-zones. These unusual formations are normally found as only single, pointed corners. But this has two corner points (rare). Ex. William Bill Severance (1931-2023) collection; originally acquired from Victor Yount in 1984; ex. Jerry Manning; exhibited in American Mineral Treasures (Tucson, 2008); illustrated in Mineral Collections of the Northeast (2016) |
