Description: | Many lustrous transparent fluorapatite crystals to 5 mm, with color varying from purple-gray to deep-purple, on greenish-tan cookeite and quartz. The fluorapatite crystals are stubby hexagonal form with secondary edge and corner faces. Fluoresces yellow under LW UV illumination. Ex. Philip C. Evanoff (1915-2018) Collection. Originally acquired in 1958 from Hugh A. Ford (1885-1966) |
