Description: | Lustrous black jeffersonite partial crystal, the zinc- and manganese-rich variety of augite, with no matrix attached. The jeffersonite crystal has slightly waxy luster and several voids in the surfaces are lined with rounded crystal faces. Collected April 1993 |
