Locality:Biedell Creek Quartz Prospects, Crystal Hill, northwest of La Garita, Saguache County, Colorado
Description:Slender tapered crystal of pale-purple amethyst quartz with faint chevron-like phantom-growth zones in the upper third. Collected ca. 1975. This quartz outcrop was completely excavated by open pit mining ca. 1983.
