Locality: | Blanchard Mine, Hansonburg District, 8.5 km south of Bingham, Socorro County, New Mexico |
Description: | Large transparent-to-translucent blue fluorite crystal with purple internal zones. The fluorite crystal has crystallized pitting on the faces where another mineral dissolved away. One corner has a triangular cleavage face. The fluorite fluoresces violet under LW UV illumination. Collected ca. 1980 |
