Locality:Merelani Hills, near Arusha, Tanzania
Description:Lustrous transparent green tsavorite garnet crystal, the green gem variety of grossular garnet, in graphite-rich matrix. The green color of tsavorite garnet is caused by high chromium and vanadium content. One edge is incomplete.
