Description: | Large rhombohedral transparent colorless calcite crystals to 19 mm over druzy apophyllite. The calcite crystals have sub-surface phantom-growth zones where microscopic crystals coated a smaller crystal face, then were enclosed within later calcite. The calcite fluoresces white under LW-SW UV illumination. Collected 11 September 1994. |
