Locality:Mahenge, Morogoro Region, Tanzania
Description:Lustrous transparent-to-translucent red-pink spinel crystal with a small fragment of brown matrix attached. The spinel crystal is complex octahedral form with concave depressions where it was intergrown with marble that later dissolved away. The spinel crystal fluoresces red under LW UV
