Description: | Many lustrous transparent-to-translucent red spinel crystals in yellowish zircon (recognizable under SW UV) and gray marble with scattered yellow-metallic pyrite impurities. The spinel crystals are octahedral form with striated edges. The spinel fluoresces red under LW-SW UV; zircon fluoresces yellow under SW UV. |
