Locality: | Upper New Street Quarry, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey |
Description: | Large plate of lustrous transparent-to-translucent green prehnite with rhombic pseudomorphs after bladed anhydrite crystals to 30 mm. On the edges thin molds are visible where the prehnite formed over the anhydrite that later dissolved leaving voids. Collected in 1980s to 1990s by Prof. Martin Becker |
