Description: | Lustrous translucent colorless apophyllite crystals to 32 mm in a conical cavity lined with lustrous translucent green datolite crystals to 6 mm with small pyrite. These conical datolite cavities were gas bubbles (amygdules) that froze in the basalt. Collected in 1990s by Prof. Martin Becker, author of Recent Mineral Finds at the Millington Quarry in Rocks and Minerals v.73 #5 |
