Description: | Unusually large 58 mm scalenohedral calcite crystal, surrounded by smaller calcite crystals to 8 mm, with partial overgrowth of unidentified white microcrystals (aragonite?). The calcite crystals are lustrous transparent gray. Collected in 1990s by Prof. Martin Becker, author of Recent Mineral Finds at the Millington Quarry in Rocks and Minerals v.73 #5 |
