Description: | Large compound crystal of translucent beige-colored witherite with remnants of purple fluorite on the bottom where it was attached. The witherite crystal is hexagonal form, with surfaces composed of smaller parallel crystal faces like stacked layers. Ex. Miller #M3019; ex. Betts #76416. Fluoresces bright white under shortwave and longwave UV illumination. Collected ca. 1990 |
