Locality:N'Chwaning II Mine, Kalahari Manganese Field, Northern Cape Province, South Africa
Description:Cluster of many translucent pink calcite crystals that fluoresce orange under UV illumination. The calcite crystals are in elongated aggregates of parallel crystals. The pink color is due to manganese impurities, commonly labeled as manganoan calcite. Ex. Miller #M3337; ex. Betts #69910
