Mineral:Quartz var. Amethyst (Cactus Quartz)
Locality:Boekenhouthoek area, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa
Description:Elongated cluster of grayish-purple amethyst crystals to 35 mm long with overgrowth of smaller 1 mm amethyst crystals around the prism faces of the larger crystals. The amethyst crystal terminations are transparent and exhibit phantom zoning. Ex. Miller #M1355
