Description: | Lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystal with gray phantom-growth zone visible inside the crystal. The phantom zone is composed of microscopic fragments of shale that coated early generations of the quartz crystal as it formed. Ex. Miller #M249; collected ca. 1990 |
