Description: | Fibrous green malachite pseudomorphs after rhombic azurite crystals to 12 mm. The azurite crystallized first, then altered molecule by molecule to fibrous malachite maintaining the original shape of the azurite crystals. Pseudomorph means: false form Ex. Miller #M739; originally acquired in 2010 from Chris Wright (1946-2014); ex. Carpenter collection M218 ca. 1960 |
