Locality:Quartz occurrence, 9.4 km SE of Wacoba Mountain, Saline Valley, Inyo County, California
Description:Large lustrous transparent medium-smoky quartz crystal with no matrix attached. The smoky quartz crystal is nearly flawless throughout and has satin-like texture on the faces that reveal twinning following the Dauphiné Law. Ex. Miller #M593; collected in 1976
