Description: | Zinc ore composed of black-metallic franklinite and translucent brown willemite. Under shortwave ultraviolet illumination the willemite fluoresces green and exhibits banded patterns sought by fluorescent mineral collectors. Ex. Miller #M3125; ex. Betts #63601; ex. Franklin Minerals Museum, donated by A. Lazowski; originally acquired from the Lesnicks ca. 1975 |
