Description: | Very large (for the species) lustrous black octahedral franklinite crystals in white calcite. The largest franklinite crystal is 55 mm across!, and it is incomplete on one edge, so it was even larger originally. The calcite can be removed to expose more. The calcite fluoresces orange under UV. Ex. Miller #M3685 |
