Description:Large tabular hexagonal ruby crystal, the pink gem variety of the mineral corundum, with no matrix. The ruby crystal is deep red-maroon color, and has parallel crystallization patterns on the faces. Fluoresces red under LW-UV illumination. Ex. Rock Currier (1940-2015) Collection #6495
