Description: | Classic specimen of pinkish-gray quartz pseudomorphs after elongated glauberite crystals to 35 mm that were in hemispherical radiating clusters. The glauberite formed first, was overgrown with quartz, then dissolved away leaving the casts in the quartz. These formations were unexplained until the publication of Crystal Cavities of the New Jersey Zeolite Region (Schaller, 1932). |
