Locality:Mahenge, Morogoro Region, Tanzania
Description:Lustrous translucent red spinel crystal with remnants of gray marble on the bottom. The spinel crystal is octahedral form, with flat crystal faces that have mottled texture in areas where it crystallized simultaneously with the surrounding marble. The spinel fluoresces bright red under LW UV illumination
