Locality:Zimbabwe
Description:Large lustrous dark brown-black trapezohedral almandine garnet crystal fully crystallized on all crystal faces with no point of attachment - a floater. The garnet crystal faces are unusually glossy and look coated, but no coating is visible under 20x. From my personal collection. Ex. Robert C. Lambert (1919-2008) #308; ex. Neal Yedlin (1908-1977)
