Description: | Nodule of lustrous radial green-black vivianite crystals with an outer rind of limonite-cemented glacial sand. This is a vivianite pseudomorph after a belemnite, and is exposed on both ends. The belemnite was buried and replaced by vivianite. Ex. Miller collection T3478; ex. Betts #76037; collected ca. 1970; classic Cretaceous fossil locality known since the 1890s and the type locality for many fossils |
