Description: | Lustrous transparent green elbaite tourmaline crystal with complex patterns on the prism faces where it intersected another mineral that later dissolved away. The elbaite tourmaline has striated prism faces and complex termination of many thin faces. Weight: 0.6 grams. Ex. Miller collection T2458; ex. Betts #62040; from one of the oldest tourmaline mines in the U.S., first discovered in 1821 |
