Description: | Parallel lustrous translucent ruby crystals, the pink-red gem variety of the mineral species corundum, with tabular (flattened) hexagonal form. The broad faces of the ruby crystals has deep color and subtle crystallization patterns on the surfaces. Fluoresces red under LW UV illumination. Weight: 7.0 grams. Ex. Miller collection T2144; originally acquired ca. 1970 |
