Locality: | Emmons Quarry, southeastern slope of Uncle Tom Mountain, Greenwood, Oxford County, Maine |
Description: | Lustrous translucent greenish-gray fluorapatite crystal in a cavity in albite with two platy muscovite crystals. The fluorapatite crystal is hexagonal form, with flat basal pinacoid termination, modified by pyramidal edge faces. Fluoresces yellow under LW-SW UV illumination. Ex. Miller collection T270; ex. Betts #70431; collected in 2002 |
