Description: | Lustrous transparent-to-translucent colorless cubic halite crystals on an earlier generation of smaller halite crystals. This halite specimen is not from the common Searles Lake deposit, but from the little-collected Soda Dry Lake locality. Fluoresces under LW and SW ultraviolet illumination. Ex. Miller collection T3646; ex. Betts #77602; originally acquired in August 1998 from Al Rose (Fallbrook, Ca.) |
