Description: | Lustrous translucent lavender-blue sapphire crystal, the colored gem variety of the mineral species corundum, with no matrix. The ruby sapphire is stout hexagonal form, and has subtle crystallization patterns on the surfaces. Weight: 11.3 grams = (56.5 carats.) Ex. Miller collection T094; acquired in 2014 from E. Greene. |
