Description: | Translucent brown sphalerite and brown willemite in franklinite-rich ore. Under shortwave ultraviolet illumination the sphalerite fluoresces yellow and the willemite fluoresces green. Sphalerite, a sulfide mineral, is uncommon at this oxide-rich mine. Ex. Miller collection T3106; collected 3 July 2016 |
