Description: | Heavy crystal of black tantalite-(Mn) with remnants of light-colored matrix in crevices. Crystals of tantalite-(Mn) are difficult to obtain because they crystallize early in a pegmatite and are usually embedded in albite-microcline, not in cavities. Ex.
