Description: | Pseudo-octahedral dark-gray teruelite crystal, a variety of black dolomite. These crystals were originally thought to be a distinct species and named for the town of origin. But in 1900 it was discovered the composition was equal to dolomite. Ex. Miller collection; ex. Betts #65989. Originally acquired June27, 1987 |
