Locality:Himalaya Mine, Mesa Grande District, San Diego County, California
Description:Lustrous bi-colored transparent-to-translucent elbaite tourmaline crystal, with small elbaite crystal on the bottom. The large elbaite crystal is pink with green termination. The rear of the elbaite crystal intersected a white feldspar crystal. Weight: 131.2 grams. Ex. John Durkos collection #I40; acquired in 1960 from Snyder's Rock Shop for $135.
