Description: | Large formation of white quartz pseudomorphs after calcite crystals to 25 mm. The calcite crystallized first, was overgrown by small quartz crystals, select areas with coated with small colorless fluorite crystals, then the calcite naturally dissolved. The colorless fluorite crystals fluoresce violet under LW UV illumination. Largest complete cone formation collected by Brian Huntsman ca. 1995 |
