Mineral:Copper complex crystals with minor Epidote
Locality:Quincy Mine, Hancock, Keweenaw Peninsula Copper District, Houghton County, Michigan
Description:Well crystallized native copper in crystals up to 14 mm across with a crust of translucent green epidote microcrystals on one side. The copper crystals are dodecahedral habit with trapezohedral secondary faces. One bottom side has saw marks. Ex. Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia collection #22665; ex. S. B. Whiting (Calumet & Hecla Mine general manager ca. 1895)
