Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 4886:

Minerals Species: Amethyst on Milky Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Ashaway Village, Hopkinton, Rhode Island.
Description: Plate of milky quartz crystals with late growth amethyst crystal on top. Unusual reverse scepter crystals plus other odd forms. Specimens from this occurrence are exceptionally hard to find.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 15x5x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 10-25mm.
