Minerals Species: Almandine Garnet in Quartz nodule.
Location of mineral deposit: Serrote Redondo, near Pedra Lavrada, Paraiba, Brazil.
Description: Unusual river-worn quartz nodule broken open to reveal very well formed almandine garnet crystals to 20 mm across. This one has complex garnet crystals clearly visible, very unusual.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 3x3x2.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 15-20 mm.
