Minerals Species: Corundum var. Ruby.
Location of mineral deposit: Sri Lanka.
Description: Elongated tapering violet-red ruby corundum crystal with complex termination. Edges are slightly rounded, typical of these water-worn deposits.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 4x1.5x1.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 4 cm.
