the Milpillas Mine, Mexico available from John Betts - Fine Minerals
in New York City, NY. This mine started producing minerals only in the last
decade and produced among the best azurite crystals ever found, equal to
Tsumeb or Bisbee, in the upper oxide zone at the mine. Now that mining has
proceeded deeper Milpillas is producing cuprite, native copper and unusual
pyrite crystals coated with Chalcocite-Djurleite-Bornite, though some crystals
are uncoated. The mine also produced crystals of volborthite, a rare hydrated
copper vanadate that were previously available in large crystals until
they were discovered at the mine. Included in this gallery are
minerals for sale of malachite, pyrite, cuprite,
volborthite, native copper, brochantite and azurite from Milpillas Mine,
Mexico.
